Written by playwright Edward “Teddy” Hall, whose work is known for its fierce heart, unapologetic queerness, and deep humanity, Cal and Johnny dives into the complexities of queer life—exploring love, trauma, resilience, and the universal desire for connection. The play follows two gay men who meet on a hookup app just days before Christmas. What begins as a casual encounter in a small-town setting transforms into an unexpected, meaningful bond as they confront their differences, reveal their truths, and discover what it really means to be seen.
