Get ready for something delightfully different — The Houndsare an upbeat, eclectic washboard trio guaranteed to make you smile! Their foot-stompin’ blend of swing standards, classic country, lively blues, and folk favorites brings a fresh twist to timeless tunes. Their motto says it all: “All for Fun and Fun for All!”
The band features Peter Magrane, Lou Manzi, and Tom McVerry — seasoned musicians and multi-instrumentalists who joined forces to create a truly one-of-a-kind sound. Between them, they play ukulele, guitar, banjo, harmonica, kazoo, and of course, the washboard!
In 2024, The Hounds brought down the house as featured performers at the International Washboard Festival in Logan, Ohio, and they’ve been entertaining crowds all across New England ever since.
With their tight harmonies, infectious rhythms, clever arrangements, and good humor, The Howling Hound Dogscelebrate the joy of American roots music — and they can’t wait to share it with you.
