DeTaeye has been touring the country for close to five years bringing audiences across the country a dynamic live show made up of high octane, harmonica-riddled folk songs and pensive, absorbing ballads.
After a three year recording process at Golden Bear Studios in Des Moines, her sophomore album, Hive Mind, is out now.

With a voice that cuts to the bone and songs that pull on the heart strings, Emily Barnes has the ability to turn any room into a listening room. Her music has been said to be "both required reading and listening for those who feel or have felt fractured by life" -Divide and Conquer Music Blog
With a diverse four albums and many miles under her belt, Barnes is a seasoned singer-songwriter who continues to build a grassroots following from city to small town, one new believer at a time. Her songs have thrust her onto the national stage including trips to the highly coveted Kerrville Folk Festival, Blast on the Bay Emerging Songwriter Contest, NERFA official showcase artist, Acorn Theater Songwriter Finalist, and Red Lodge Songwriters Contest finalist. Now based in Colorado (by way of New Jersey), Barnes writes vivid songs of empathy, love and perseverance over lush melodies, setting the lives of her characters to song.
There is a feeling one gets when witnessing something authentic and rare, and that aura permeates the room at an Emily Barnes show.
Singer/songwriters Brianne Chasanoff, Lily DeTaeye, and Emily Barnes bring you folk-pop songs that will make you laugh, cry, and feel connected long after the show is over. Lush piano, intricate guitar, and captivating vocals reminiscent of old school songwriters (think Joan Baez, Carole King) meets modern day songwriting (Brandi Carlile).
