Vertigo is a four-piece indie rock band formed in 2020 by a group of young musicians driven by a shared passion for creating fresh and energetic music. The band members—Jules Kessler (vocals/guitar/keys), Nico Diaz (lead guitar), Eddie Lundquist (bass), and Howard Schuster (drums)—quickly bonded over their similar tastes in alternative, indie, and classic rock. Vertigo’s sound is characterized by smooth and clean guitar riffs, slowed and upbeat melodies, rocking post-chorus sections, and creative lyrics that explore themes of love, change, and identity.
Jules Kessler (Vocals, Piano, Rhythm Guitar) - Jules Kessler is from Sandy Hook, Connecticut and plays rhythm guitar, piano, and sings. He is also the songwriter behind Vertigo's original music. He is currently in his freshman year at Berklee College of Music where he is pursuing his love for songwriting and performance. His biggest musical heroes are Theo Katzman and his late father, Michael Kessler.
Nicolas Diaz (Lead Guitarist) - Nico is a second year student attending Northeastern University. He plays Volleyball and has a passion for guitar and writing. He wants to thank his friends and family for helping him to be motivated to play guitar as well as to keep pursuing his passions.
Howard Schuster (Drummer) - Howard is 18 years old, is from Newtown, Connecticut, and plays drums for the band Vertigo. He has played drums since the age of 4 and has had a lifelong passion for music. He currently attends Suffolk University and is studying marketing, but plans on pursuing music outside of college. Howard enjoys performing as well. He has been part of many different musical groups such as a jazz ensemble, pit orchestra, university rock cover band, and of course, Vertigo. Some of his major inspirations are Carter Beauford, Joey Jordison, and Cotter Ellis. Howard is appreciative of every musical opportunity he gets and is excited to see what his future in music holds.
Eddie Lundquist (Bassist) - Eddie is from Newtown, CT, and is currently a senior at Newtown High School. He's been playing the bass for over five years, both in his free time and as part of school ensembles. Eddie's been playing gigs for three years now at local country clubs and restaurants, but only started playing with Vertigo this past July. Since then, he has done three gigs with them.
