Nuri, Noh, & Molly
July 13, 2024 @ 8:00PM — 10:00PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)
The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center: 605 Main Street Middletown, CT 06457 Get Directions
Nuri is a trans femme singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician, writer, Jewish feminist anarchist, and mother. She self-produced her first album in 1999 (which you cannot find), and actively performed across the region from 2002–2012, including shows in NYC and Boston. After a work/child-rearing induced hiatus, Nuri returned to songwriting and composing, releasing 10 singles since 2021. Generally resistant to things like categories or genres, Nuri's music can be described as irreverent and heartfelt folk-punk. Nuri plays a range of instruments on her recorded releases, including guitars, bass, ukulele, keyboards, synth, drums, kalimba, trumpet, and miscellaneous percussion. She formally studied piano, violin, French horn, and guitar as well as Western Common Practice music theory & composition.
Noh Bailey is a multi-faceted performance artist and writer based in Western MA. She has trained and appeared in works at various regional theatre companies including Shakespeare & Company, Barrington Stage, Berkshire Theatre Group, The Foundry, and others. Recently she has been dedicating her free time to a new found love of writing and playing the guitar.
Molly Weinberg is a singer songwriter from Richmond, MA whose lyrics encourage you to laugh about her failed lesbian love life. In addition to composing, Molly is a film editor with a degree in early childhood education from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a proud survivor of two years of teaching tiny humans in the Bronx, who kept her occupied with strep throat, bronchitis, pneumonia, Covid and a delicious array of additional viral gifts. She credits her stamina to her dry sense of humor and game face.
