Nuri is a trans femme singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician, writer, Jewish feminist anarchist, and mother. She self-produced her first album in 1999 (which you cannot find), and actively performed across the region from 2002–2012, including shows in NYC and Boston.

After a work/child-rearing induced hiatus, Nuri returned to songwriting and composing, releasing 10 singles since 2021. Generally resistant to things like categories or genres, Nuri's music can be described as irreverent and heartfelt folk-punk.

Nuri plays a range of instruments on her recorded releases, including guitars, bass, ukulele, keyboards, synth, drums, kalimba, trumpet, and miscellaneous percussion. She formally studied piano, violin, French horn, and guitar as well as Western Common Practice music theory & composition.
